Studio facilities

We have access to a studio set-up with several glass tanks and Interfit lighting. Depending on the time of the year we can offer photo workshops for small mammals, freshwater fish or freshwater invertebrates

Our tanks are set up to provide natural looking settings for small mammals.  We have around 30 Longworth traps that we can set before a visit; trapped mammals are then kept in large holding cages with food and water,  and then transferred to the glass tanks for photography.  You may have a selection of small mammals to photograph.  Bank and field vole, wood and house mouse all occur on the site.  All mammals are released to where they were trapped after the photo session.

During spring, summer and autumn we are able to offer aquatic invertebrate and fish photography.  As with the small mammal workshops we can never guarantee what species will be available to photograph.  All fish and invertebrates are returned to where they were trapped after the photo session.  Depending on the time of the year we may also have frog and toad tadpoles available for photography.
